EZRA "PAUL" GILLMAN
Ezra "Paul" Gillman, 82, of Youngstown, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018. Paul was born in West Bay, FL, and was a life-long resident of Bay County. He served in the US Army, and was medically discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his military career, Paul worked for 28 years for Sikes Concrete Pipe Company. An avid Seminole fan, he owned his own lawn care business, and worked with his son at Gillman Marine after retirement. Paul was a member of Emerald Coast Fellowship and the American Legion Post # 392. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Jane Garner, wife, Leah Frances Gillman, his sons, Jeff and Jamie Gillman, and a son-in-law, Danny Emanuel.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice Moran (Rhett) of Youngstown, Ann Emanuel of Panama City and Paula McGill (Xavier) of Freeport; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Gillman Purple; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hall (Stewart), Justin Gillman (Whitney), Alisha Moran, Jillian Moran, Blake Burdeshaw (Tabitha), Jacob Burdeshaw, Kymberly Girt, Kayla Girt, Hunter Girt, Gabriel LePoint and McKenna LePoint; and numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Melvin and Rev. Harold Weaver officiating. Interment with military honors offered by the US Army Honor Guard will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Justin Gillman, Blake Burdeshaw, Jacob Burdeshaw, Gabriel LaPointe, Stewart Hall and Travis Miller. The family extends special thanks to Clifford Chester Sims State Nursing Home, especially the staff of Delta White who gave Daddy the utmost care with compassion and love. Appreciation is also extended to Covenant Hospice to which contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent if desired to 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405.
