Fern Eve Conrad-Vaughan

Fern Eve Victoria Conrad Vaughan, 75 of Panama City passed away February 20, 2019. Fern was born March 15, 1943 in Plattsburg, NY to Charles and Eva Conrad. She moved to Panama City in 2008 from Long Island, NY. Fern retired from Pilgrim State Hospital in 1983 after twenty-three years. Fern attended Central Baptist Church in Panama City. She was a free spirit, excellent cook and loved to travel. She will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joan Woodin and her special dog Patches. Fern is survived by her companion, John Plage; her son, Paul Vaughan and his wife, Maryann; daughter, Michelle Bush and her husband, Matthew; sisters, Shirley Brase of Massachusetts and Carrie Gilbert of New York and her two grandchildren, Maria and Jala Vaughan. Friends will be received 4-6 pm Thursday at the Forest Park United Methodist Church where funeral services will take place 11 am Friday. Interment will follow the service at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
