Tribute

Retired SSGT Fletcher Cooper Jr. of Panama City went to his heavenly maker on May 11, 2020. Mr. Cooper was born in Winnsboro, S.C on September 1st, 1931. He is survived by his loving wife Sarah, Brother Leonard Cooper of Ridgeway, S.C., son, Mark D Cooper (Debbie) of Panama City, daughter Wendy N Diehl of Panama City, grandchildren, Eric D Cooper (Tara) of Valrico, Torie N Cooper, of Panama City, Desirae A. Dillman (Kennie) of Clearwater, and great-grandchildren Xander, Laina, Keaunna & Ethan.
He was predeceased by his parents Fletcher Cooper Sr. & Wife Lelia, Brother Johnny, Sister Geneve, and infant daughter Dawn Michele.
Fletcher was a Combat Wounded Veteran of the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart. He proudly served his country with 20 years of total service in the Army and Air Force. Upon retiring in 1972, he made Panama City his home. He had a love of life, family, and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Covenant Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday May 15th at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jessie Dasher officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests Thursday May 14th, at the funeral home from 6:00pm-8:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Cooper, Kennie Dillman, Bill Cook Jr., Joe DelMonego, Tim Hair and Bob White
