FLOYD PRESTON ODOM

Floyd Preston Odom was received into the loving arms of our Lord Friday, February 21, 2020. Floyd was born in Caruthersville, MO, August 15, 1938. He married the love of his life, Barbara Barritt-Odom in Flint, MI, November 26, 1956. He is now in the presence of his wife, son, Tim Odom, brother Larry Thomas Odom, mother, Galena Pauline Vied Odom and father Elijah Odom.

Those of us holding close memories of Floyd are his son, Michael Preston Odom and wife Patricia; daughter, Kathleen Louise Odom-Schneider and husband David; daughter-in-law Catherine Odom; sister-in-law Joyce Odom; grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the sparkles in his eyes: Jason, Shawn and wife Lauran, Britney and husband Brandon, Timothy and wife Courtney, John and wife Brianna, Eric, Brian, Rebecca, Preston and wife Gabriella, Deanna, Aiden, Rhylen, Zoe, George, Luke, Davis and Oliver; and his nieces Angie, Jennifer and Carrie.

A Celebration of Floyd's life will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1001 11th Street, Panama City, FL at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2020, with Rev. Paul McComack officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church to aid in the cost of Hurricane Michael Recovery.
