Frances E. Lewis

Frances E. Lewis, 91 of Panama City, passed away at her home on December 16, 2018. Frances was a life long resident of Panama City having been born to James I. and Sarah (Grice) Porter, Sr. in Panama City. She was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and is retIred from Gardners Drug Store. Frances was united in marriage in 1944 to her husband, Nelson Slawson who preceded her in death in 1982. She later married Leamon Lewis in 1989 who preceded her in death in 2005. Frances is also preceded in death by her son, Raymond Slawson and a brother, James Porter, Jr. Frances is survived by her daughter, Elouise Brooks of Panama City; her brothers, Matthew Porter of Louisiana and Danel Porter of Jacksonville; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Slawson; her grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) Brooks of Chipley, Mark (Stephanie) Brooks of Lake Merial, Sean Slawson of Panama City, Nelson Slawson of Panama City, Monica Tapia of Albuquerque, NM, Tabitha Slawson of Panama City and Neysa Severson of Panama City; her ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 10-11 am Thursday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church where funeral services will take place at 11 am. Interment will follow the service at Callaway Cemetery.
