Gene A. Rodgers, 72, of Panama City, passed away September 9, 2019. Gene was born in Coffee County, AL, and moved to Bay County from Ocoee, FL in 1991. He was a long haul trucker and a self-employed auto mechanic doing repairs for family and friends. Gene was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, T.B. and Lena Mae Rodgers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Rodgers; three children, Bobby Rodgers (Melissa) of Chipley, Connie Young (Chris) of Clermont, FL and Tony Rodgers (Patricia) of Milton; a sister, Patricia Sessions of Andalusia, AL; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 13, 2019, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Noon until service time at 2:00.
