George Andrew Dracos was born in Everett, Massachusetts, on June 15, 1935. A proud member of the United States Air Force, he served as a Senior Master Sergeant in Vietnam and gave 20 years of service to his country. Upon retirement from the Air Force, he earned an AA Degree in Business Restaurant Management.

He is survived by his daughter, Vicky Dracos; grandson, Nicholas Dracos; granddaughter, Claire Dracos; nephew, Andy Dracos; niece, Toni McCabe (Peter McCabe); daughter-in-law, Betsy Dracos; sons Jon and Jeff Nye (Charlie).

He was preceded in death by son, Steve Dracos; parents, Vasiliki and Andrew Dracos “Yia-yia” and “Papou;”brother, Theodore “Ted” Dracos.

As a much beloved member of St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church, his family, church family, and countless friends and former employees/associates marveled at his expansive network in Bay County/Panama City Beach.

Aside from his children and family, The Hearth and Garden and The Hearth and Garden Act II were his crowning accomplishments. In the early 1970’s, Captain Anderson’s Restaurant and his beloved friends Jimmy, Johnny, and Helen Patronis, along with their sons, launched his love of the restaurant business.
