Harry Lee Ford
1942-2022
Harry “South Pacific” Ford, age 80, of Panama City, FL, passed away on June 25, 2022.
He was born to Clarence and Ruth Ford on February 15, 1942 in Mooresville, NC.
He will be remembered for being a loving father, grandpa, and a good friend. Harry spent 29 years in the U.S. Navy as a diver and was a Dive Instructor at the Navy base in the early 1980’s. He always looked forward to his weekly lunch with his old Navy buddies. Harry was an active member of S.A.S.S., Single Action Shooting Society, traveling to Arizona to volunteer at their annual shooting events for many years. He shared his love of shooting with his grandchildren. Grandpa also enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and watching his granddaughter play soccer.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruth Ford. He is survived by Virginia Ford; his children: Jennifer (Ted) Dillon and Roxanne (Rob) Griffith; his grandchildren: Kira and Remy Dillon and Robbie and Royce Griffith.
A private service will be held with immediate family as Harry wished to have his remains spread in the Gulf of Mexico.
