Hazel Mae Hobbs

Hazell Sowell Hobbs, 94, of Panama City, Florida passed away Friday, August 17, 2018, at a local health care facility. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and was a longtime volunteer at the Senior Center. She enjoyed working in the yard and loved growing flowers, and crocheting. Hazel was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, George D. Surber (Reida), Freida Brock (Bobby) and Arthur A. Surber; three grandchildren, Steven Brock (Joanie), Joseph Brock and Stephanie S. Ross (Dwayne); three great- grandchildren, Cleve , Alexis and Zachary.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 20, 2018, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Pastor Charles Key officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors prior to the service from 12:30PM – 1:30 PM at the funeral Home.
