Henry Newell

Henry Otis Newell, 76, of Southport, FL went home to be with his Savior and family on November 17, 2021 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born August 12, 1945 in Richton, MS. He was a hard working man who enjoyed being outside and loved the sunshine. He was granted his wish of working until the day he passed. He loved his family and family gatherings were his favorite pastime. He enjoyed music, dancing , hunting with his hounds, fishing, and boating. He loved his grandkids and life. He was proud to be called papa by many. He leaves his cherished memories to his wife of 54 years, Patricia Newell; three children: Michael Jesse Newell (DD), Dusty Elaine Powell (Tony), and Jamie Leigh Newell (Josh); nine grandchildren: Caleb, Paxton, Jessica, Danielle, Brian, Marissa, Alyssa, Tabitha, Kendal, and Tyler; twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Jimmy Newell (Helen); and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00- 11:00 am Saturday November 20, 2021 at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the services at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Southport Memorial Gardens.
