Herman Smith

Herman “Hap” Monroe Smith, Jr., 72 of Panama City, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his home. Hap was born December18, 1947 in Tampa, FL to Herman and Theresa (Sansom) Smith, Sr. and moved to Panama City in 1982. Hap is a graduate of the University of South Florida, School of Accounting, Class ’69 and is a licensed CPA. He worked in accounting his whole career and was co-owner of Smith Miles CPA of Panama City for the past 30 years. Hap is survived by his brother, Thomas (Christina) Smith of Panama City; his sister, Sharon (Kenneth) Fisher of Seattle; his grandson, Keiven O’Neil Bowen of Milton, FL; his three nieces and 1 nephew; his five grandnieces and three grandnephews and one great-grandnephew. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Thursday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place 11 am Friday.
