Jack Walter Parker, Jr., 75, of Lynn Haven passed away Friday September 16, 2022 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family that loved him.
Jack was born the son of Jack Walter Parker Sr. and Julia Mae Carter on September 19, 1946 in Moultrie, Georgia.
Jack served in the U.S. Army 1966-1969 including a 10 month deployment to Southeast Asia. He began his career as a firefighter in Thomasville, Georgia and “Captain Jack” retired from Dekalb County Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Johnnie Lamar Parker.
He is survived by his wife Carlie Parker of Sefner, Florida; sister Judith Young of Warner Robbins, Georgia; brother Jonathan Wayne Parker of Moultrie, Georgia; daughter Tammy Kinslow of Lynn Haven, Florida; sons Ricky Parker of Newport, North Carolina and Ben Parker of Jefferson, Georgia; step daughters April Conklin of Riverview, Florida and Crystal Polly of Riverview, Florida; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren who all loved their Poppy.
A celebration of Life will be held in Thomasville, Georgia at a later date.
