James "Jim" Cochran, 80, of Panama City Beach, passed away at home on October 20, 2020.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Survivors include his wife Diana of 23 years, his two children
Stephanie Weselak (Bruce) and Jay Cochran (Melissa), His sister Constance Winschel. He also leaves
behind four grandchildren (Abbey, James, Anna, and Mary) and a number of nieces and nephews.

He served 22 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1982 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He served
in a number of locations including Japan, Greece, Guam, Thailand, Alaska and Mississippi. After
retirement from the Air Force, he worked 30 years for a variety of defense contractors traveling New
Orleans, England, the Philippines, Alaska, Arizona, Utah and Panama City Beach. He always said he
served 22 years in the Air Force and 30 years in the Navy and Marine Corps.

Jim was a diehard Steelers fan. He was a member of a Fantasy Football League, originating in New
Orleans, for 30 years, Jim loved his children and grandchildren and was extremely proud of them

The family would like to thank his number one doctor, Dr. Heather Shaffer Zawahry and staff and two
friends that would take him on his shopping rounds, Judy Thorndyke and Doreen Norbut.

His goal every day was to make someone smile or laugh.

There will be a visitation in Panama City at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24,
Between 4 and 6 p.m.

On October 27, 2020, there will be a visitation at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, Mississippi
between 10 a.m. and noon. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Biloxi National
Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
