James Benjamin Fortier

James Benjamin Fortier, 85, peacefully passed away on September 30, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Fortier of Panama City, Florida, daughters, Angele (Mike)
Wilkerson and Vickie (Rex) Meyer of Georgia, son, "Ben" James Fortier of Maine, step-daughter,
Denise (Greg) Clubbs, stepsons; William (Barbara) Nazaruk, Phillip Nazaruk of Panama City, and
Steven (Judy) Nazaruk of Ocala, Florida; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Jim is also survived by his sisters, Lucille (Bobby) Griffin, Ellie Christianson and brother Adrian
Fortier of LA.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin L. Sr. and Lucille M. Fortier of LA and his son's
Michael Fortier and Richard Fortier, as well as his brother Edwin L. Jr. (Dottie) Fortier of LA.

Jim served in the United States Air Force as well as working as a police officer and shop
supervisor at lnternational Harvester. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses
that have taken such good care of Jim during his illness. The family would like to give a very
special thank you to Dr. Angel A. Nunez, Diplomate lnternal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care
and Sleep disorders, whose kindness and caring bedside manner will always be remembered.

Services will be held at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
Viewing will be held at 10:00 am and Service will be held at 11:00 am. There is no graveside service. Rev Steve Bates of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church will be the officiant.
