JAMES HOUSTON "JIM" JONES   

James Houston "Jim" Jones, 86, of Panama City Beach, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. Jim was born in Nashville, TN, and moved to Panama City Beach in 1997. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and retired after 30 years service as an officer of the court in the Nashville Municipal Court System. Jim was Catholic by faith, and enjoyed spending time with his large family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Nola Jones; daughter, Pamela Elaine Gregory; parents, Walter Allen and Mary Lou (Threet) Jones; brothers, Walter Allen Jones, Jr. and Joseph Jones; and sister, Mildred Watson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Katherine Capral Jones; daughters, Vickie Lynn Sharpe and Teresa Darlene Neal; sons and daughter who became his through love, Lisa Welcker, Michael Ray Gregory, Darius G. Kalil, Eddie E. Kalil, Tanos E. Kalil, III and David S. Kalil; his grandchildren, William Allen Sharpe, Amanda Joe Schultz, James Michael Neal, Christy Neal Marlin, Kevin Garrett Gregory, Jeremy Shawn Gregory, Benjamin and Bryan Gregory, Ella and Riley Welcher, Michael McPherson, Savannan Kalil, Edward and Sarah Kalil and Joseph E. Kalil; 16 great-grandchildren; and a lot of kids he helped raise in Nashville.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Station 31, Panama City Beach Fire Department Benefit Fund.
