James Ryckeley

James Forrest Ryckeley, 89 of Panama City Beach, passed away July 12, 2017 at Covenant Care Hospice. James was born September 27, 1927 in Atlanta, GA to Alfred and Tullie (Fitts) Ryckeley and moved here in 1985 coming from Atlanta. James is a proud graduate of Auburn University School of Business where he attended on a football scholarship. James is United States Army Veteran and a faithful and active member of St. Thomas By The Sea Episcopal Church of Panama City Beach. James is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Watson in 1985. He later was remarried to Claire Elliott who preceded him in death in 2011. James is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Watson Ryckeley and his eleven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Deborah Ryckeley of Birmingham, AL; John (Laura) Ryckeley of Fayetteville, GA; Michael (Janice) Ryckeley of Tarheel, NC and Patrick (Becky) Ryckeley of Senoia, GA; his grandchildren, Ashley, Annelise, Katie, Christian and Clinton and his great-grandchildren, Kendall and Caroline. A Mass will be Celebrated 11 am Friday at the St. Thomas By The Sea Episcopal Church. Entombment will follow the Mass at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James memory to St. Thomas By The Sea Episcopal Church. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
