Janette R. Wright

Janette R. Wright, age 86, of Panama City, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She is survived by three daughters, Joette Mashburn (Jerry) of Panama City, Debbie May (Greg) of Panama City Beach and Kay Richbourg (Randy) of Panama City; grandchildren Dallas and Brandon Bruner, Shelby May, Jordan and Dakota Richbourg, six great-grandchildren, her siblings Willo Edwards and Erma Bailey and her dear friend Barbara Travis. Janette was born in Elba, Alabama on March 28, 1934 to the late Estelle and Rufus Rushing. She was married to Joseph L. Wright for 67 years and was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and siblings Donald, Drexel, Hullen and Virgil Rushing and Helen Nelson. After their marriage in 1953 Janette and Joseph resided in Alabama until 1960, at which time, they moved to Panama City. She loved working in the retail business with the general public. She worked at Sears, Roebuck and Company, the Yellow Stamp Store and Maharaja of India until she retired. She was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church and enjoyed many hobbies such as antiquing, garage sales, dancing, reading, knitting, sewing, gardening and decorating her home. She especially loved spending time with her family. Graveside services are planned for Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Kent-Forest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Michael Claunch, Pastor, St. Andrew Baptist Church officiating.
