Jeanette Pate

Jeanette Jernigan Pate, age 78 of Panama City, FL passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. She was born March 3, 1941 in Jessup, GA to James Walters and Tera Strickland Walters. She loved her family with everything in her and enjoyed sewing, bingo and family get-togethers. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband John L. Jernigan of 24 years; her sons Derrick and Kyle Jernigan and her sister, Betty Ennis. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Pate of 30 years; her children, Gina Spittler (John), Jarrod (Kristen) and Jeffrey Jernigan (Amber); five bonus children, Sherri Parrish, Jimmy Jr, Billy, Melissa and Kevin Pate; her grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Riley, Jalyn, Makenzie, Jake, Jase, Jarren, Kendra, Haylyn, Jason, Jeremy, Ashlyn; her fourteen bonus grandchildren; her seventeen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Cindy Banks and Larry Walters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 1-2 pm Tuesday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where memorial services will take place that afternoon at 2pm with Pastor Rodney Capps and Pastor Roger Hagan officiating.
