JEANETTE TURNER

Jeanette G. Turner, 73, of Southport, passed away Tuesday morning at her home. She was born in Blakely, GA, but lived in Bay County since age 5. Jeanette retired as Vice President of Operations at Bay Credit Union after 48 years of service. She was a member of the Kingswood Baptist Church, and loved her job, her church, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John M. Turner, Sr.; a daughter, Tina Turner of Deer Point Lake and a son, John Turner, Jr., of Athens, GA; a granddaughter, Christina Heck of Deer Point Lake; and her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Porter and Liam Clayton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 7, 2018, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM EST Friday at Blakely Cemetery, Blakely, GA. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00.
