Jeannette Yount

Jeannette Yount, 86, of Lynn Haven, Fl passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was born to Wallace and Eva Melvin on December 26, 1934 in Lynn Haven, Fl.

Jeannette grew up in Compass Lake, Jackson County, Florida and graduated from Cottondale High School in 1953. After high school she enlisted in the US Navy and worked as a dental assistant while stationed at Pensacola Naval Air Station.

For many years she traveled across the United States while raising her family and working. She settled in Lynn Haven in 1974 where she remained until she was admitted to Sims State Veterans nursing home in 2018. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Panama City.
She will be remembered for being a loving mother and granny.

She is survived by one sister: Neta Sue Owens, her daughters: Kathy (Bill) McCurdy and Lisa Daugherty, 3 grandchildren: Ryan (Kristie) Willoughby, Alex (Brooke) Nichols, and Alisha Daugherty, and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5 at 10 AM at 1st Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
