Lt. Jesse Lee Clark, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, ret., 72 of Panama City, passed away unexpectedly May 17, 2020 at Gulf Coast Hospital. A native of Panama City, Jesse was born July 6, 1947 to Daniel and Adell (Taylor) Clark. Jesse is a United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War from 1966-1971. He continued his service for his country by joining the Panama City Police Department from 1971-1985 and then joined the Bay County Sheriff’s Office where he served from 1971 until his retirement in 2002. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings, Tommy Clark, Brenda Henderson, Daniel Clark, Linda Gail Lutz and Johnie Clark. He was united in marriage on April 16, 1985 to his wife, Viola who resides in Panama City. Jesse is also survived by his children, Jessica Clark, Michelle Forrester, Michael Clark, Sharon Blair and Julie Cunningham; his siblings, Mary Woods, Dorthy Callahan, Diane Grant, Lelia Clark and Betty Ann Griggs; his nine grandchildren and his eight ½ great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 6-8 pm Thursday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will take place 11 am Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
