Jimmy Wayne Greier

Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Jimmy Wayne Greier, passed away on January 11 after a battle with cancer. Jimmy was 78 and was surrounded by loving family members when he crossed over into the arms of Jesus.
Jimmy was born on August 25, 1943, in Hampton, Iowa. 
He and his extended family soon moved to the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where he spent his childhood and met his high school sweetheart, Kay. 
As a young man, he served his country in the U.S. Navy and, after serving, was offered a position with SWBT, where he worked for 35 years until he retired. 
Jimmy loved the sea and spent his early retirement sailing with his wife. Late in retirement, he served his church as a deacon and a loyal servant of our Lord.
Jimmy joins his son, Christopher, in Heaven. He is survived by many loving family members, including his wife of nearly 56 years, Kay Greier, his son, Stephen Greier, the Greier daughters, Victoria, Alexandria, Christina, and Madaline, his daughter, Rebecca Greier Horton, his son-in-law, Mickey Horton, and their daughters, Sophia and Lilly. He is also survived by his four beautiful great-grandchildren and his church family at Gulf Beach Baptist Church.
