Joey Ray Granger

Joe Granger, 66, of Southport, FL, passed away on May 8, 2019. Joe was a Tugboat Captain for 10 years and loved being on the water. He enjoyed fishing, oystering and cooking them for his family.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perry and Effie Lee; a brother, Perry Lee Granger; and step-father, Ernest W. Greer, Jr. He is survived by his companion, Wanda Wallen; mother, Shirley Greer; children, Christopher Granger (Christiana), Dakota Granger and Dustin Granger; sisters, Wanda Davis, Miranda Poutre, and Rebecca Harder; brothers, Ernest Greer, III (Jennifer) and John Greer (Stephanie); grandchildren, Christopher Granger, Jr; great-grandchildren, Luke Granger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. immediately prior to the service.
