John A. Good, Jr., 59, of Panama City, Florida passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2021. He was born in Lorain, Ohio on April 30, 1961 to the parents of John A., Sr. and Emma J. (Gardlock) Good, graduated from Edison High School (1980) Milan, Ohio, served in the U.S. Navy, much of that time aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea (CV-43) and eventually settling in Panama City. Preceded in death by his father, John A. Good, Sr., brother, Paul C. Good, Paul’s twin sister, Wendy A. Good, sister-in-law Kimberly (Waugh) Good, Grandparents: Chester A. and Marion (McClintock) Gardlock and Clarence N. and Pearl R. (Jeffries) Good, and numerous Aunts and Uncles. Survived by his mother, Emma J. (Gardlock) Good, sisters: Jenifer Good, Susan (Ron) Haun, Tracy (Bryan) Jackson, niece Wendy Haun, nephew Stephen Haun, great nieces: Savannah Hearon and Sophie Haun, and great nephews: James Hearon, IV and Elijah Haun. John’s hobbies included motorcycle riding, making stained glass items, coaching Little League, diving (he was Open Water Certified), bicycling and being a member of The Krewe of Massillina. He lived with Kidney disease, was on dialysis for over 23 years and courageously fought cancer for more that 5 years. The family wishes to thank the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center, Harrison Ave. and the staff of Florida Cancer Affiliates, Jenks Ave. with a special thanks to Sarah Rowe, A.O.C.N.P. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, the National Kidney Foundation, American Cancer Society, or to your local Humane Society.
