Jon Marvin Wright, Sr.

Sr. Master Sergeant, Jon Marvin Wright, Sr., USAF, ret., age 83 of Panama City, passed away July 16, 2018 at Covenant Care Hospice. Jon was born September 11, 1934 in Hatfield, IN to Arch and Edith (Stevens) Wright and moved to Panama City in 1980 coming from Satellite Beach, FL. Jon retired from the United States Air Force with over 29 years of service. He is a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran and belonged to various Air Force organizations. Jon is also a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Parker Masonic Lodge. Jon is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth “Pat” and a grandson, Brian. He is survived by his sons, Jon (Kathy) Wright, Jr. of Palm Harbor and Russell (Supong) Wright of Panama City and his grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer and Kristen. Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where funeral services will take place 2pm Friday. Interment with Masonic and Air Force Honors will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
