Joy Deom, 89, of Panama City Beach, FL, entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2019. She was loved by one brother, Don McCormick (Marty) of Southport and three sisters, Judy Miller of Greeneville, TN, Joan Hayes (Darvil) of St. Paul, VA and Diane Vaught (Mark) of New Brunswick, MO.
Joy leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Joyce Ewing (Bill) of Braidwood, IL, Halle Susan Wood (Steve) of Greenbriar, AR, Donna Thomas of Panama City Beach, Pamela Rousseau (Richard) of Panama City, FL, Bonnie Kempfer (Gary) of Southport, and Terry Arnold (Rick) of Memphis, TN. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Joy was preceded in death by her first husband, William Thomas, her second husband, Charles Deom, her parents, Ruthie Mae and William McCormick, two brothers, Tex and Tim McCormick, and two sisters, Sue and Janey Clark, and a beloved great-grandson, Charlie Mullis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Rick Rousseau, Mark Weber, Shawn Gregory, Richard Rousseau, Gary Kempfer and Darvil Hayes.
Joy loved her very large family and the mountains, but she adored her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
