King David Corbin, 84, of Lynn Haven, Florida passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his home.

Dave retired from The Florida Highway Patrol after 36 years of service. He began his career as a radio operator and ended as a bureau chief.

In his younger year’s he was actively involved with the Shriners local sports and helped build Pete Edwards Field. Dave was one of the Drummond Park Yellow Jackets coach that won one of the first Snapper Bowls. He also coached several undefeated little league teams.

When Dave attended Baker High School in Baker, FL. he was Captain of all the sports team during his all 4 years of high school. During his senior year he was a member of the only state basketball championship team still to this very day.

Dave loved to throw a mullet net, work in his yard and was an avid golfer with several club championships to his name.

He was a devoted husband, father and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Corine who passed away July 1 of this year; parents Cody Bill Corbin and Martha Jane Corbin; 6 brothers; 3 sisters.

He is survived by three children David Corbin, Jr. (Karen) of Lynn Haven, Alan Corbin (Kelly) of Fox River Grove, Illinois and Cody Corbin (Rocio) of Loxley, AL; grandchildren Kyle David Corbin, Bridgett Corbin, Dean Corbin, Arial Corbin, and Amber Corbin; brothers Tim and Gene Corbin.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, 2020 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
