Leo St. John, 73 of Panama City passed away November 19, 2019 at his home. Leo was born December 27, 2019 in Brooklyn, NY to Vincent and Helen (Griffin) St. John and moved to Panama City in 2001 from Pennsylvania. Leo is a 100% Disabled Combat Vietnam War Veteran where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal with V Device, Viet Nam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal. Following his discharge from the Army, Leo went to work and retired after 45 years as an iron worker. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local 40. He was united in marriage on February 16, 2001 to his wife Peg who resides in Panama City. Leo is also survived by his mother, Helen St. John of New York; his son, Leo (Jennifer) St. John, II of Orlando; his daughter, The Honorable Susan (David) St. John of St. Petersburg, FL; his numerous brothers and sisters and his five grandchildren, Sean, Leo III, Justin, Jackie and Joann. Friends will be received 5-6 pm Saturday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where memorial services will take place that evening at 6pm.
