Tribute

Levi Hall passed away July 31, 2020.  Levi was born January 28, 1931 in Graceville, Florida to James E. and Nellie Jane Hall.  Levi was the youngest of 15 children.   He attended Graceville High School graduating while in the US Navy. Levi enlisted in the US Navy at age 17 and worked through the ranks to retire as a chief warrant officer.

He has been and continues to be a dedicated Knights of Columbus.  He is a member of council #3599 in Panama City, Florida.  He has served as Warden, Chancellor, Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight of his Council and faithful navigator of the Panama City Assembly #1744.  He has served as District Deputy, State Church Activities Director, KC Charities Chairman, Special Projects, Public Relations and Florida State Secretary.

He has served the members of his parish as an usher, a Minister of Eucharist, and for the past 9 years a member of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee Catholic Sharing Appeal.  He is also a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and in September 1999 was promoted to the rank of Knight Commander with Star.  He was appointed by the Board of Trustees of Bay Medical Center to serve on the Community Advisory Board and for the past 9 years has been on the Advisory Board for Gold Kist Stores and now southern states serving the farming community in Graceville, Florida.

He was predeceased by first wife, Angela Hall.  Levi married current wife, Margaret Reil Hall on March 15, 2008.  Levi is survived by his sister Betty McAdams of Georgia, Janice Spencer and her husband David, Jerry Hall and his nephew, and many nieces and nephews throughout the panhandle.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at St. Peter & Paul Church located at 1003 N E Ave, Panama City with Father Anthony Nguyen officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM in the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.  Face masks and social distancing are requested.
