Lora May Grounds

Lora Morris Grounds, 89 of Southport, passed away peacefully June 13, 2019 at Gulf Coast Hospital. Lora was born June 20, 1929 in Stephensville, TX to Jessie Calvin and Snow (Gregory) Morris. Lora retired as a greeter in April with over nineteen years of faithful service to Wal-Mart in Lynn Haven. She also attended the Sand Hills Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Grounds, Jr.; her sister, Betty and brothers, Alton, Preston and Ernest Morris. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Al) Thompson of Chipley; her son, Roy Grounds of Ft. Worth, TX; her grandchildren, Jennifer ( Mike ) of Southport Al Jr of Chipley, Heather ( Russell ) and Sean all of Texas, great grandchildren Brandon (Stephanie) of Fountain, Thomas, Bonnie and Mikey (Kate) all of Southport, Chelsea and JR of Texas and her great great-grandchildren, Danny, Trevor, of fountain Lillyann ,Michael, Nicholas, Gabe, Mike III, all of Southport .Friends will be received Monday from 6-8 pm at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place 11 am Tuesday at the Sand Hills Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
