Marciana Dyer

Marciana M. Dyer, 90 of Panama City, passed away May 26, 2020 at her home. Marciana was born July 27, 1929 in Manila, Philippines to Matias and Loraina (Manuel) Bacani and moved to Panama City in 1970 coming from Arizona. She was united in marriage to her husband Nelson who preceded her in death in 2010. Marciana is also preceded in death by her sons, Renato and Ernesto Dyer and her brother, Lorenzo Bacani. Marciana is survived by her daughter-in-law, Edie Dyer of Panama City; daughters, Cindy Daniels of Panama City, Maricel of Panama City, Rita Espanola of Tampa, Thelma McDowell and Olivia Baber both of Panama City; her cousin, Rosita Dyer of Greenfield, MA; grandchildren, Shawn (Andrea) Dyer of Jacksonville, NC, Christy Dyer of Panama City, William Dyer of Biloxi, MS, Christopher Dyer of Tampa and Marciana Dyer of Panama City and her great-grandchildren, Angel, Dillon, Christopher, Tabitha, Gabriel, Zoie, Tyler and Shawn Dyer, II, Jacquiel, Jaylynn and Jacarri Smith and Makayla, Alena and Cai Poole. Marciana was a devote Catholic and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She loved to play Bingo and despite life’s hardships, she remained a caring and loving person who loved being with family and friends. Friends will be received 6-9 pm Thursday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited that evening at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10 am Friday at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
