Betty Faye Posey

Mrs. Betty Faye Posey, 61, of Panama City, FL passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 surrounded by family. Betty Faye was a lifelong resident of Panama City and grew up attending Springfield Community Church. She was an active member of Straightway Ministries. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt and loved taking care of her family. Betty Faye was also known for her green thumb. She was a people person and never met a stranger.

Betty Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie A Posey; mother, Betty Swearingen; son, Jimmy Emanuel; her twin sister, Bertha “B.B.” Russ; brothers, James Swearingen and John Swearingen.

She is survived by her daughter, January Huckabee (Charles); her father, Herman Swearingen; 3 grandchildren, Natalie, Connor, and Kelley; best friend, Shirley Markham Lowe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Betty Faye will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Springfield Community Church with Rev. Clyde Tucker and Pastor Sandi Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 13, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at the church. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Russ, Charles Huckabee, Connor Huckabee, Brandon Tipton, William Powers, Theodore Van Wagner, and Herman Swearingen.
