She is survived by her children Vickie (Don) Peavy, Skip (Sherry) Harmon, Kelly (Debra) Harmon and Randy Harmon who has also preceded in death. Mary was deeply attached to her fur baby “Maddie” who was constantly by her side.

Mary E. Harmon died peacefully, surrounded by family on March 20, 2023, at Bay Medical Center. She is preceded in death her husband of 56 years Clyde, son Randy, her parents Emory and Altha Lee Carr, 2 brothers Evans and Bobby Carr. She is retired from Bay District Schools.
She was married to Clyde for 56 years and followed him around for 26 years while he was in the Air Force. Starting on the day they were married on March 26, 1951 in Roswell, GA on their way to Clyde’s 1st assignment in Texas. They went on to have 4 children. Vickie (Don) Peavy, Skip (Sherry), Randy and Kelly (Debra). They had 10 grandchildren, Troy (Brenda) Kaspar, Chris (Angie) Kaspar, Leann (Justin) Cooper, Lindsay (Chad) Yates, Jessica (Chelsea) Pyzik, Melanie (Joe) Bafford, Tracey and Jason Harmon, Tiffany (Steven) Clevenger, and Brittany (Matt) Wright. Mom always said “she was going to live to be 100 to have her picture on a jelly jar. She would tell everyone that. Even though she didn’t live to be a 100 a jelly jar will be made with her picture and placed in her casket thanks to Brittany.

Mom’s favorite color was blue, so I bought her a blue outfit and we picked out a pretty light blue casket and flowers. I’m sure she will be happy with that.

We can’t forget about Maddie, her fur baby. She loved that dog so much. Maddie always laid right next to her wherever she was at. We can tell Maddie is missing her, but Maddie loves Don and always has so we hope she will adjust soon. Mom knows she will be loved, and we will take good care of her. I told her years ago we will take Maddie when she dies.

Funeral services will be held  2:00 P.M. Monday,  March 27, 2023  at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Martin officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M
