Mary Ann Holsenback

Mary Ann Holsenback, 77, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, at Pruitt Health Facility.

Born in New York, New York, but a lifelong resident of Panama City, Florida, since the age of 3. She graduated from Bay High School in 1960. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Mary Ann dedicated her life to her husband of 37 years, until his passing in 1999, and to her children and grand-children. She was a living example from 2nd Corinthians 4:1, “Therefore having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.” Mary Ann left a legacy of grace, courage and endurance. And even to the end, her faith in Jesus is testimony to us all!

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her spouse, Ronald Holsenback: parents, Peter ad Mary Chaknis; a granddaughter, Grace Holsenback and a sister, Bessie Gonzalez.

She is survived by her; 4 children, Ronald Holsenback (Dawn), Barbara Buening (Donnie), Elizabeth Brannon (Craig) and Leigh Ann Holsenback; siblings, John Chaknis; Penny Nelson, George Chaknis (Susan) and Nicholas Chaknis; and 4 grandchildren, Ashley Holsenback, Houston Holsenback, Natalie Holsenback and Joshua Brannon.

Funeral services will take place at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. A visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
