MARY JO DAVIS

Mary Jo Davis, 87, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 12, 2022. Mary was born in Martinsville, OH to Bill West and Ethal Dalton. She was the co-founder and office manager of Davis Exterminators, Inc. from 1966-2000. Mary was a devoted member of St. Andrew Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, and was named volunteer of the year for the St. Andrew Community Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Davis and brother, John West.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Bob Davis; sons, John Newman and wife Tammy and Steve Davis and wife Sharon; daughters Lorene Godwin and husband J. D., and Barbara Monter and husband Jeff; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Davis; her brother, Bill West; grandchildren, C. J. Newman, Chad Prescott, Jamie Meadors and wife Cherie, Christina Deegins and husband John, John Davis and wife Heather, Clay Hood and Amanda Cericek and husband Garrett; great-grandchildren, Harper Cericek, Henry Cericek, Haley Deegins, Tyler Carpenter, Taylor Meadors, McKenzie Meadors, Mako Brown, Cruz Thorpe, Coral Taylor, Kailyn Cromartie, Paris Clark, Joey Clark, Christian Hood, Luke Hood, Justin Brewer and wife Kiera.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's name may be made to the Hospice of the Emerald Coast. Asked to serve as pall bearers are John Deegins, C. J. Newman, Chad Prescott, Clay Hood, John Paul Davis, and Jamie Meadors. Honorary pall bearers will be Gary Messick, John Thompson, Robert Taylor and Ed Hileman.
