R.W.  Michael L. Miller, 66, of Parker, Florida passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. Michael Miller moved to Parker in 1994 with his three children. Mike loved the Lord and he along with his family attended The Salvation Army Panama City Corps Worship Center. Over the past 40 years Mike was a self-employed business owner in the trucking industry and local rental properties. His past educational background include Lakewood Community College, Law Enforcement; Gulf Coast Criminal Justice Training Academy, Florida Police Standards; Fire-Fighter 160; and Certificate of Completion, Florida Planning Officials Training Program, University of Florida Department of Urban & Regional Planning. He was a devoted son, a good father, and an esteemed member of the community.
 
R.W. Michael L. Miller was a valued instructor at the Parker Masonic Lodge #142 and served as a Past Master of that lodge. As a Master Mason Mike also served as a past District Deputy Grand Master and was the current Senior Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Florida. Michael also served as a Past Patron of Parker Chapter #96 Order of the Eastern Star. In addition, he was a member in good standing of the Scottish Rite and Shaddai Shrine Temple.
 
Mike was also proud to serve his community. He served as a past Commissioner on the Parker Planning Board and most recently as a City of Parker Councilman and Mayor Pro-Tempore. He believed in a proactive, not reactive government. Mike was always looking for ways to encourage education and improve the quality of life in his community.
 
Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his loving wife Lisa Miller; father Dale Miller; and brother, Steve Miller.
 
He is survived by his children Vanessa Davis (Karl), Tiffany Miller (Noel Alfaro- Ventura), and Daryl Miller; mother, Carol Miller; brother David Miller (Marie); grandchildren Karly Davis, David Alfaro, Edwin Alfaro, Madison Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Felishia Kunselman, and Alyssa Chapman.
 
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at The Salvation Army Corps in Lynn Haven, FL. With Maj. Dwayne Durham officiating.  Family will receive friends and family Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at The Salvation Army Corps from 4:00-6:00 P.M.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Park Masonic Lodge # 142.
