MICHAEL PAUL PATE, MK-1, US COAST GUARD
Michael Paul Pate, 35, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. Michael was born in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and attended Mosley High School and Haney Vo-Tech. He was serving as a Machinery Technician Petty Officer 1st Class with 18 years in the US Coast Guard. Michael was preceded in death by his father, William Pate, and his grandparents, Willis and Edna Pate.
Michael left behind a loving family including his wife, Samantha Pate of Panama City; his children, Marcus, Rory and Emily; his mother, Tamela Bozeman of Youngstown; a brother, Patrick Pate, his wife Jessica and their children Kayla and Skylar, all of Youngstown; his grandparents, Charles and Lynda Jones of Atlanta, GA; and many other relatives and friends from high school and the Coast Guard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 18, 2019, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Pate and Rev. Mark Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Wounded Warriors or to Companions for Heroes.
