Michael Shelton Pettis, 55, of Southport, Florida went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on September 7th, 2021.
He was greeted in heaven by his beloved father, Howard Shelton Pettis.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly; two daughters Lacy Pettis, Samantha Brinson and husband Kevin and soon to be beloved grandbaby boy, and his cherished son, George Michael Pettis; his mother Lillian Pettis; his brother, Jamie Pettis and wife Alicia; his father-in-law, Buddy Martin , sister-in-law Sherry Graganella and husband Joey, his brother-in-law Marty Martin; beloved nephew Christopher Daniels, wife Betsy, children Mason and Grace.
Nieces and nephews; Jared Pettis, Chase, Bella and Ashlyn Martin, Andrew and Jake Graganella.
Michael owned and operated Southern Thermal Solutions, and Pettis Storage Town with his wife, Kimberly.
He was a master craftsman in several hobbies, but his passions were hunting, fishing, and cooking for friends and family. Michael was the captain of many fishing adventures, and his annual dove hunts evolved into family reunions for all.
He loved to spend his time cooking at Camp 4, hunting at his best friend Randy’s in Marion, Alabama and running dogs at County Line Hunt Club. If Mike wasn’t hunting or fishing, he could be found at his lake house with Ashole, family, and best friend Ricky Locher, or on his Massey Ferguson planting his farm.
Mike was known for the meals that he prepared and the blessings that he shared with his family, friends and community that he loved so much.
He is a member of the Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge. Masonic graveside rights will be conducted by Harry Jackson Lodge. The lodge will open at 12:45.
