Miguel Angelo Rodriguez

Miguel Angelo Rodriguez, age 92, passed away in his home of 26 years in Vernon, FL on October 5, 2021 with his loving family surrounding him.  He was born September 21, 1929 in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico to the late Rufo and Polonia (Rivera) Rodriguez.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Evangelista “Pipo” Rodriguez, sister Gloria Rodriguez, son-in-law Jose Rivera “JR”, brother-in-law Remi A.  Miguel was a strong leader/role model of his family teaching everyone that family was important and teaching the value of family to all that knew him.  He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He enjoyed cooking, music, playing dominos with his family and spending time on the water. Miguel retired from the City Of Wilmington Water Works in 1992.  He married his loving wife Angela in New York in 1962.  Miguel leaves cherished memories to his wife Angela Rodriguez; daughters Madeline Hernandez (Domingo) and Evelyn Rivera; sons Michael Angelo Rodriguez (Sandra) and Johnny Rodriguez; grandchildren Elisha Mathis, Natalie Rosa (Joseph), Madeline Peters (Melvin), Natasha Anderson (Kenny), Raywat Preston Ray, Domingo Hernandez III (Tasha), Wilma Wilson (Brandon), Rebecca Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez (Coleen), Eddie Rodriguez (Janine), Jennifer Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez (Konnie), Yvette Rodriguez, Jonesa Rodriguez, Jessenya Rodriguez, and Jasmine Rodriguez; sisters Luisa Royal and Felicita “Fela” ; brother Ananias “Jimmy” Rodriguez; and several great and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at  2:00 pm at the funeral home.
