Minerva “Veva” Reyes, 63, of Panama City, FL, went to be with the Lord on June 07, 2021 after losing her battle with Covid-19. She was born to the late Armando Reyes and Manuela Reyes in Detroit, Michigan on June 23, 1958. She was one of six daughters and six sons.
She is survived by her mother Manuela Reyes, her three sons, Louis Armando Flores, Jose Heriberto Flores, Miguel Isaac Flores, and daughter in law Angelina Flores. She is also survived by her eleven brothers and sister, Maria Santiago, Olga Reyes, Noreida Danielson, Alicia Reyes Santiago, Victor Reyes, Jose Reyes, Pedro Reyes, Miguel Reyes, Daniel Reyes, Lucy Reyes Blackburn, and Lou Reyes. She is also survived by her closest companion and fur baby Flaco Reyes and her lifelong friend Sacramento Baltazar.
Minerva was blessed with and survived by six beautiful granddaughters, Ardella Young, Shinez Flores, Tapanga Flores, Violet Flores, Hazel Flores and Harlow Flores, and too many nieces and nephews to count!
During Minerva’s young adult life, she worked as a loving mother who raised three sons. She spent her whole life serving the Lord and giving her love to Jesus Christ.
Her passions included attending and speaking in front of the church and worshiping, poetry, crafting and sowing, and having a green thumb. She could grow any seed and bring any plant back to life!
Minerva was a true Angel who always saw the best in a person even through their many flaws. She would give you all she had, even if it were her last and wanted for nothing but the love of her family. She loved to joke and make people “guess what?”. Her laugh was contagious, and her smile would light up the room.
Veva wants everyone to know that “God worked in mysterious ways, be happy for me because He took me to be with Him.”- Minerva Reyes
Rest Peacefully Angel, you will be missed. See you on the other side.
