Miguel Angel “Michael” Hernandez, 68 of Panama City, passed away October 3, 2019 at his home. Michael was born March 15, 1951 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Domingo and Natalia (Baez) Hernandez and moved to Panama City in 1979 coming from Wilmington, Delaware. Michael is preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, Charles and Florentino Hernandez. He was united in marriage to his wife, Raquel on February 28, 1978. She resides in Panama City. Michael is also survived by his children, Simone Tackett of Wilimington, DE, Michael Whittaker of Wilmington, DE, Micah (Timothy) Jones of Tampa, FL, Venaida (Oscar) Picon of Panama City, Carlos (Christy) Hernandez of Covington, GA and Briana Francis of Panama City; his siblings, Hector (Haydee) Hernandez of Tampa, FL, Haydee Hernandez (Antonia) Rodriguez of Panama City, Maria (Felipe) Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, Roberto (Merari) Hernandez of Panama City, Baby Hernandez (Aurelio) Pruneda of Panama City, Domingo (Madeline) Hernandez, Jr. of Greenhead, FL and Moses Hernandez (Samsri) Ray of Vernon, FL and two sister -in-laws Elba Hernadez and Carolyn Hernandez. Michael is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Michael was a kind and giving man who loved his family. He was blessed with the gift of discernment and guided his family accordingly. He always found value in most things people would throw away and was very creative in fixing them. Michael was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Friends will be received 6-9 pm Monday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home here funeral services will take place 2 pm Tuesday. Interment will follow the funeral service in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
