NANCY LOUISE (JACKSON) BURKETT

Nancy Louise (Jackson) Burkett, 58, of Panama City, passed away June 30, 2019. Nancy was a native and life-long resident of Panama City, and was a 1978 graduate of Rutherford High School. She was a registered CNA, and was a former district manager for the Panama City News Herald. Nancy was a life-long member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, and loved her church family very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Catherine Jackson, her baby brother, Zebie Jackson, an adopted sister, Betty Holt, and other family members.

Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Whitehead and son-in-law, Glen; her sisters, Ann (Joe), Jean (Jose), Mary Lou, Joyce and Peggy; her brother, Jackie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Key officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Tim Jackson, Micah Totten, Evan O'Connell, Derrick Banks, Glen Whitehead, Adam Tipton, Lee Jackson and David Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Mason Gonzalez and Floyd Jackson, Jr. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
