Nathan (Nate) F. Kinion, Sr., 90, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021. He was born March 11, 1931 in Greenville, SC. He graduated from Paris High School in Greenville and Clemson College in 1958 and received a Master’s Degree at the University of Utah. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from U.S. Health and Human Services in 1987 in Atlanta, GA. Before that, he worked for the State of South Carolina and was a high school shop teacher in Spartanburg, SC. He and his wife Danelle moved to Panama City Beach in 1990. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, NASCAR, and his boat. He enjoyed traveling, especially on a motorcycle. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association for 26 years and a member of the Emerald Coast Corvette Club for 20 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 392 for 20 years. He is survived by his wife of almost 33 years, Danelle Kinion; the Mother of his children, June E. Kinion; children Risa Sams, Nathan F. Kinion, Jr. (Amanda) and Christopher A. Kinion (Denise); granddaughter Angela Baldwin; great-granddaughter Nicole Kinion and special nephew Jesse Kinion (Robin) and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse A. Kinion and Ressie Norris Kinion; his brothers J. Norris Kinion and R.D. (Booty) Kinion; and his sisters Suzanne Nanda and Verna Murphy.
