GWENDOLYN POMEROY

Gwynne Pomeroy, 92, of Panama City, passed away July 13, 2020. She was a native and life-long resident of Bay County, and a member of the graduating class of 1946, Bay County High School. Gwynne was a faithful member of St. Andrew Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, and spending time and cooking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. S. "Cookie" Pomeroy, her daughter, Linda Curenton, son-in-law Dwight Curenton, and a grandson, Matt Curenton and his wife Connie Curenton.

Survivors include her children, Jessica Barron (Herb) of Panama City and Butch Pomeroy of Panama City; 5 grandchildren, Kevin Barrron (Stefanie), Kendall Barron, Meaghan Didato (Michael), Caleb Pomeroy (Kelli) and Joshua Pomeroy (Danielle Lanford); and her great-grandchildren, Greyson Didato, Owen Didato, Leigha Curenton, Ethan Barron, and Asher Barron.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Morris Denman officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Caleb Pomeroy, Joshus Pomeroy, Randy Davis, Stephen Holley, Clayton Holley, and Brayden Harris. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Andrew Baptist Church Building Fund. Social distancing and masks will be required.
