Tribute

Paul Schreiner, age 49, of Panama City Beach, FL, passed away on July 7, 2022. He was born to Anne and Clyde Schreiner on January 7, 1973 in Dunedin FL. He was a loving husband, son, brother and a man with a Servant’s Heart to us all.  He is predeceased by his twin sister, Susan Elizabeth. He is survived by his true love and wife Helen Louise, his parents Anne and Clyde, his siblings Kurt, John and Mary and much loved inlaws and outlaws and nieces and nephews.  Paul spent a life in service to others so it is no surprise that he thrived in the service industry with so many wonderful people. A career that began with a wrong turn to Carrabba’s Italian Grill, continuing through his additional careers as a teacher and realtor and leading him to becoming Proprietario of Carrabba’s in Miramar Beach. Then he found a new calling and built a Texas Roadhouse from the ground up, bringing so much joy with him to Panama City Beach. Paul served his community through involvement in various committees and boards such as the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association and the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. He was a board member for the Destin Chamber of Commerce.  Paul joined the Panama City Beach Chamber Board of Directors in 2017, he was announced to the Executive Board of Directors in 2020 and was currently the Incoming Chair. Paul would be named Chairman of the Panama City Beach Chamber in 2023. He was a lover of animals and rescue organizations. He had a passion for the shooting sports and loved being in the outdoors with his family. And if there was a need, in his community or with a friend, Paul’s answer was yes. Yes, he would be there to feed the multitudes. Yes, he would support your charity. Yes, he would serve on your board or committee. Yes, he believed in you, you can do this, how could he help with your dream. Through hurricanes, the pandemic or a quiet, personal moment of need unseen by others, Paul said yes.  Paul was man with a Servant’s Heart. He possessed a desire to selflessly and sacrificially serve others, regardless of feelings or what it may cost. And he did so through friendship, leadership, teaching, admonishing and loving all he met.
