Mrs. Phyllis Jane Jackson, 73, of Panama City, Florida passed away on January 7, 2018 at her home while recovering from injuries sustained in a motor accident.
She was born to the parentage of Adele and Arthur Kern on February 21, 1944 in Park Crest Pennsylvania. She was married and had three children.
After moving to Panama City in the early l990s, she worked many years as a Corporate Controller for Landmark Construction and By the Sea Resorts. She worshipped at First Baptist Church of Panama City and was a faithful and longtime ministry worker at the Charter Senior Living Nursing Facility. She loved traveling, gardening, sewing and quilting.
Survivors include her husband Larry, two daughters Stephanie Jackson and Shenecia Nelson (Mike), and son Gregory Ellis (Alicia), sister Beverly Kanaar, nieces Rita Zabowsky (Alex), Beverly Magda (Glen), nephews Bobby Kanaar (Pam), and Ronnie Kanaar (Mary Ellen).
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
Private interment at Barrancas National Cemetery Pensacola, FL.
