Pia Laloifi Humphreys

Pia Laloifi Humphreys, born in New York City, April 13, 1981, succumbed to multiple organ failure on September 6th, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola. Florida. Pia is the daughter of Samalaulu Ioana Humphreys and the late Captain David Sidney Humphreys of Panama City Beach, Florida, and is survived by her twin daughters Lyla and Faye Jones and her brother Vaovasa Manaia David Lelei Humphreys. Intelligent, accomplished and charismatic, Pia enjoyed a wide-ranging career which involved international humanitarian assistance in several countries with Counterpart International and the United Nations. She gravitated to helping marginalized children, the homeless and troubled adults in the United States. Pia answered her calling as a primary therapist in Panama City Beach where she helped others walk through fear and trauma into recovery. It was also where she is met her love and fiancé Patrick Dunn. Pia recently opened ReprievePCB, a women’s extended care facility, to help women survivors of trauma find comfort and peace. Pia’s tertiary education includes a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Trinity University, San Antonio, TX, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work, Massey University, New Zealand. Friends will be received 2-5 pm Thursday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10 am Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1214 Moylan Road, Panama City, FL 32407. Entombment will take place privately at the Humphrey Family Mausoleum at Forest-Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
