Richard “Dickers” Rhodes, 84, of Panama City Beach, FL died on February 16th, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
He was born March 17th 1935 to Argel and Mary Rhodes in Darlington, PA.
He was a former Columbiana police officer and also held several management positions in the hospitality industry in which he retired from in 1997. He was also one of the founding members of the Tri County 4 Wheelers Club of Lisbon, OH and a life long member of the VFW Post #10555.
He was an avid hunter, reader and Western movie enthusiast who had a zest for life and a huge, loving heart for his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Rhodes, Steven Rhodes (son), Ron Dunham (brother) and Joyce Lipp (sister).
He is survived by siblings: Bob and wife Fran Rhodes, Bill and wife Terry Rhodes, Gary and wife Linda (deceased) Rhodes and Betsy Zentner. He is also survived by his significant other, Patricia Mitchell.
Daughters: Michele Rhodes, Debbie Douglas, Donna Love, Diane Burcham
Sons: Dale wife Donna Mitchell, Danny Mitchell. Also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. at VFW Post # 10555 Panama City Beach.
