Robert C Ohlert

Tech Sergeant, Robert Charles Ohlert, Jr., ret., USAF age 82 of Panama City, passed away August 5, 2020 at Ascension Bay Medical Hospital. Robert was born June 16, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to Robert and Sadie (Hawkins) Ohlert, Sr. and moved from Suffolk County, NY to Panama City in 1975. Robert is retired from the United States Air Force and is a Viet Nam War Veteran. He attended Hiland Park Baptist Church, was a member of the AFSA and had previously attended Gulf Coast State College. He was united in marriage to his wife Leona who resides in Panama City. Bob is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Robert (Amy) Braun of New Port Richey, FL, Kathi (Tony) Collins of Palmyra, Maine, Richard (Nacy) Howe of Troy, Maine, Holly (Darrell) Corneliius of Panama City and Leighton (Melissa) Lockett of Tuscola, TX. Funeral services for Mr. Ohlert took place 1:00 pm Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home where military honors were rendered that afternoon by the Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard. Interment followed the funeral service at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
