Roger Dee Wood, 66 of Youngstown, passed away February 6, 2020 at his home following a brief illness. Roger was born July 6, 1953 in Opp, AL to Olen and Arlene (Adcock) Wood who preceded him in death. Roger moved to Panama City as a young boy and graduated from Rutherford High School in 1972. He was an accomplished brick mason for over 30 years and was employed with Surber Brothers Masonry during that time. He was employed with Eastern Industries for the past 8 years. Roger loved fly-fishing, watching car shows, Alabama Football, grilling, spending time with his family, and his Natural Light. He was united in marriage on February 19, 1993 to his wife, Rachel who resides in Youngstown. He is also survived by his children, Little Roger (Angie) of Panama City, Melissa (Collin) Widner of Valdosta, Missy (Joey) Short of East Point and Rebecca (Devon) Sherrod of Youngstown; his grand children, Charity (Clint), Chasity, Kalon, Austin (Chelsea), Gregory, Jr., Alissa, Tamira, Tori, Adam, Jordan, Thomas, Shelby, Larry Michael; his numerous great-grandchildren; his special brother-in-law, Red (Linda) and a special aunt & uncle, Obie (Betty) Wood. Friends will be received 10-11 am Monday at the Oasis of Love Tabernacle Church where funeral services will be held that morning at 11am. Interment will follow the service at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
